Isa Savitri works with photography, words and found objects.
In her first individual exhibit, Isa explored the private conversation about love through black & white portraits, and assemblages echoing Joseph Cornell's enigmatic boxes.
Isa has also directed her gaze towards the public sphere. Her work has addressed themes of social justice, questioning the representative value of money, citizens' malaise before authority, and wounds of social inequities.
On a more soulful note, Isa approaches flora as conduits to mystical connection and observes nature seeking reflections of internal landscapes.
Not one to miss out on the small joys, Isa also turns a playful eye towards every day moments.
Her work has shown at El Schomburg Contemporary Art Space (organized by Trailer Park Projects) in Chicago, Festival Internacional de Fotografía in Santa Marta, Colombia, Los Contrafuertes in San Juan, Puerto Rico, Movimiento de Fotógrafos in Bogotá, Colombia, and Maryland Federation of Art en Baltimore.
In 2024, Life Framer awarded Isa the First Prize for the Color contest. In 2025, the winning image is traveling with the first prizes of all the categories in a collective exhibit in Johannesburg and Tokyo.
